Wakeboarding is a recent craze at our Lochearnhead water sports base on Loch Earn.
It is a similar discipline to snow/skate boarding so if you can do either you will pick this up very quickly.
Be aware though as learning to wakeboard is very addictive.
It is great fun for all the family to do so if you feel like taking up a new sport, come and try wakeboarding! We start all beginners off on a bar which sits at the side of the boat. This gives stability to the wakeboarder and allows them not only to gain confidence in what they are doing but keeps them close to the instructor who will be encouraging them.
Once they have masterd wakeboarding on the bar they are then moved to the back of the boat where they will start off on a shortened rope. As they progress the instructor will stop the boat and lengthen the rope until they are at a standard wakeboard length.
Everyone develops at different timescales but we are confident we can help you achieve getting up on the water and enjoying the experience of wakeboarding on Loch Earn.Don't forget Wakescot 2010 - the best way to really discover wakeboarding.
