Active Scotland Lochearnhead - Staff
- Barry McGrandles
Barry looks after the smooth running of the activities and is our lead instructor. Barry was first taught to water ski in Lochearnhead when he was 7 and has always skied since. At the age of 17 he started to teach waterskiing at Lochearnhead and has done so every year, except one, since. He still loves it as much now as he did at the beginning and has become a respected instructor within Scotland. - Ellen Haste
Ellen looks after the bookings, the shop and will more than likely be the person you make first contact with. Ellen is interested in a number of different activities including; waterskiing, horse riding, skiing and is a volunteer at the Callander Youth Project.
Within her volunteering experience she has been assisting at youth club sessions and various trips. This experience has been very enjoyable and has contributed to her ambition of becoming a primary school teacher. Recently Ellen's efforts were rewarded when she received the 'Volunteer of the Year' award. - Matt McGrandles
Matt looks after any groups, schools or corporate clients making sure their day with us is as fun and as exciting as possible. Matt first tried waterskiing on Lochearn at the age of 15 before working the following summer driving and teaching. Even though it was for only one summer he has always enjoyed both the taking part and teaching others but his attention turned to his other love, rugby. He concentrated on his rugby career playing at the very top of the sport. Even while doing this he still made time to occasionally drop by and grab a ski.
